Our
Mission:

Our mission at On Your Toes Dance Studio is to teach your children the art and discipline of dance, and to build their self-esteem by teaching them to be dedicated, to work with passion and grit, and to take pride in their accomplishments.

We believe that hard work pays off, and there is no greater joy than seeing our students develop not only into incredible dancers, but into successful students, graduates, and professionals.

We offer classes for students
ages 3 -18.

Because our instructors are trained to tailor each dance lesson to the individual, anyone can find the joy of dance in our studios, regardless of experience.

Our
History:

On Your Toes Dance Studio opened its doors in 1990. Miss Nancy Dunn began introducing children ages three and up to the magnificent art of dance, teaching classes in ballet, tap, jazz and gymnastics.  Originally located in Tavernier under Old Tavernier Restaurant, it outgrew its space within five years and moved into its current location at MM 92.5 Oceanside where the studio has continued to grow and thrive.

In 2001 Miss Stephanie Zlockie joined the permanent faculty and expanded the disciplines of dance to include modern, contemporary and hip hop.  In 2019 Miss Nancy retired from teaching, with Miss Stephanie continuing as OYT’s owner and director. Our facility now has three studios and offers a range of classes to all levels of dancers.  We pride ourselves on limited class sizes, multiple class levels for optimal learning and a highly-trained faculty.

We encourage our dancers to set personal goals, to work hard and take pride in their accomplishments. Our classrooms are friendly, fun and encouraging and our studio has a strong sense of family.  We are happy to be in our 29th year in the Upper Keys.  We are proud of the generations of dancers that have walked through our doors and look forward to many years of creating talented, well-rounded and goal-oriented individuals for many years to come.
